PipeLoad™ Design Software
The PipeLoad™ design software incorporates some fantastic features to make reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) class selection even easier. The Windows based engineering software program is an ideal means of calculating the appropriate class (strength) of buried concrete pipes required under specified installation and loading conditions. This version of PipeLoad™ software is in accordance with:
• AS4139 - 2003 'Fibre Reinforced Concrete Pipes and Fittings'
• AS4058 - 2007 'Precast Concrete Pipes (pressure and non-pressure)'
• AS/NZS3725 - 2007 'Design for installation of buried concrete pipes'
• AS5100.2 - 2004 'Bridge design - Part 2: Design loads'
PipeLoad™ offers extensive features to make operation truly user-friendly:
• Built-in calculations for most typical trench and pipe laying conditions
• Automatic calculations for construction loads as well as service and dead loads to prevent potential early failure of concrete pipes due to cracking during the construction/installation phase
• Distribution of construction loads down to 300mm above the crown of the pipe
• Automatic calculation of wheel loads for most construction heavy equipment
• Determination of pipe class for the working load calculated for each imposed load for HardiePipeTM RCP and traditional steel RCP pipes
• An ability to alter parameters for optimization of installation and construction
• The full range of pipe sizes for HardiePipeTM RCP (225mm – 750mm) and steel RCP pipes (225mm – 4200mm).

Q-Guard™ Design Software
Q-Guard™ software is a utility program to aid in the assessment of design requirements for the
Q-Guard™ Stormwater Treatment Devices.
The program uses the Rational Method to determine a 1 year Average Recurrence Interval (ARI) peak flow rate for a site or catchment with an adjustment factor applicable to determine the 1 in 3 month ARI peak flow rate.
Most Authorities and regulators set target Design Treatment Flow Rates for Stormwater Treatment Devices at the 1 in 3 month ARI peak flow rate on the basis that this ARI achieves an 80% to 90% treatment of total average annual runoff volumes.
Project data can be saved to disk to assist in assessing Stormwater Treatment Device options and for archiving purposes.
The program includes a library of localities throughout Australia and a flexible library manager to add or modify locality data.
Technical, Installation and Maintenance documentation for Q-Guard™ devices can be accessed from within the Help section of the program or from the bottom of this page.
For immediate access to the software simply Download the Q-Guard™ Design Software.
